Trade for anything, just get rid of the albatross of a contract he has.

Bush-league move to sign him to a max-term contract then flip him before it starts just so you wouldn't lose him to UFA.

Who would take him and give anything worthwhile in return? Did leafs use both their non-penalized buyouts from last bargaining agreement?

If they do move him, it will most likely require retaining cap hit; is it worth moving a top pairing d that plays top scoring lines every night for a gamble player plus holding cap dollars?

In my opinion you just hold onto him and find a better pairing to bring out his strengths.

Its sad to think that pre olympics Dion was actually living up to that monster contract that he hadn't signed yet. Once he signed it his game went to poop more or less. Hopefully he can have a bounce back year playing with a new legit d partner.
